Mr. Griffith has approximately 25 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry and is a founding member of Open Range Energy Corp.’s management team. From September 2002 through November 2005 Mr. Griffith was Manager of Geophysics at Tempest Energy Corp., where he contributed to Tempest’s growth (particularly its Red Earth Keg River light oil play) and to the plan of arrangement with Daylight Energy Trust that led to the formation of Open Range Energy Corp. From August 1998 to August 2002 he was Chief Geophysicist at Vermilion Resources Ltd., where he and his team helped drive Vermilion from 10,000 boe per day to 25,000 boe per day. He was a key contributor in the Utikuma acquisition and the successful Keg River light oil drilling program that followed. Other successful exploration and development projects included Wildcat Hills (Viking gas) and Chip Lake (Ellerslie, Rock Creek, Ostracod oil and gas), as well as seismic operations and interpretation in the Paris Basin, France, which led to significant oil discoveries. Prior to Vermilion, Mr. Griffith was senior geophysicist with Renaissance Energy, drilling over 900 wells with a 75 percent success rate over four years. Previous to that he spent six years with Mobil Oil. Mr. Griffith graduated with a B.Sc. (Geophysics) with First Class Honours from the University of Calgary in 1987 and is a member of APEGGA, the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).
