Chief Operating Officer & Vice President Engineering

Mr. Mueller is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years of diversified oil and natural gas engineering and operations experience. Until May 2006 Mr. Mueller was Open Range's Vice President Engineering & Operations, when he was promoted to his current position. From May to November 2005, Mr. Mueller was Vice-President Engineering and Operations at Tempest Energy Corp., where he played a key technical role in the plan of arrangement with Daylight Energy Trust that led to the formation of Open Range Energy Corp. Prior to this he spent four years with Viking Energy Royalty Trust, initially as Senior Exploitation Engineer, after which he was promoted to Engineering Manager. His reservoir engineering skills led to the drilling of over 60 infill drilling locations in the Bellshill Lake Unit, with a success rate of over 90 percent. His contributions helped grow Viking from 8,000 boe per day to 23,000 boe per day during this four-year period. Previous to that he spent three years at Archean Energy Ltd., three years at Wiser Oil Canada and six years at Norcen Energy, where he gained broad experience in production, exploitation, completions, and facilities engineering. Mr. Mueller is a member of APEGGA and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM).
