Mr. Michaluk is a Chartered Accountant with 12 years of diversified financial experience including corporate accounting, treasury management, auditing and tax planning. Prior to joining Open Range in mid-2006 Mr. Michaluk gained strong experience in the oil and natural gas industry with Halliburton, Marathon Oil and Rio Alto Exploration. At Halliburton Mr. Michaluk implemented highly successful financing and reorganization strategies that generated annual cash savings of greater than $20 million. Previous to that he was with Ernst & Young LLP. Mr. Michaluk is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan where he received a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan.
