Mr. Jensen is a career banker by profession who has gained his broad base of banking experience from exposure to a wide variety of commercial, corporate and energy-related concerns over the past 30 years. Mr. Jensen is currently a partner and Vice President of Toscana Capital Corporation, a private merchant bank specializing in providing mezzanine debt financing to mid-sized private and public oil and gas companies in Western Canada, and a Trustee of the Toscana Financial Income Trust. From October 1993 to March 2005, Mr. Jensen held various senior commercial, corporate and energy lending positions with the National Bank of Canada. From February 2001 to March 2005, Mr. Jensen held the position of Senior Manager, Energy Group where he co-managed and administered an oil and gas loan portfolio with authorizations exceeding $2.1 billion. Prior to jointing National Bank, Mr. Jensen was employed with Montreal Trust Company of Canada where he held the position of Regional Manager, Western Canada. From 1978 to 1990 Mr. Jensen held various commercial banking positions of increasing responsibility with the Hong Kong Bank of Canada.Mr. Jensen holds a Canadian Investment Manager designation and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
