CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - May 14, 2009) - Open Range Energy Corp. ("Open Range" or the "Corporation") (TSX:ONR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mike Seth to the Board of Directors of the Corporation. Mr. Seth will serve as the non-executive Chairman of the Reserves Committee of the Board of Directors. Mr. Seth has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of oil and natural gas reserve evaluations and was previously the Chairman of McDaniel & Associates Consultants Ltd., a Calgary-based engineering consulting firm. Mr. Seth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Seth currently serves as a director on the boards of Enerplus Resources Fund, Triton Energy Corp., Corridor Resources Inc., Connacher Oil and Gas Limited and Redcliffe Exploration Inc.
